Gavin Emmett

Gavin Emmett is an experienced sports broadcaster, well known to motorcycle racing fans across the globe thanks to his long association with MotoGP. He is currently a key part of the presentation and commentary team on BT Sport's live coverage of MotoGP in the UK.

Having graduated with a BA Honours degree in Spanish and French from the University of Leeds, Gavin joined MotoGP rights holder Dorna Sports as a journalist in 2001.  He joined the world feed commentary team in 2002 and became one of the voices of the sport for many years in Australia, Asia, Africa and America.
Between 2006 and 2009 he simultaneously worked as the Communications Director for MotoGP, and also enjoyed spells as an on-screen reporter with BBC Sport in the UK and FOX Sports in the USA, as well as hosting the popular online magazine show 'After The Flag' for
Gavin hosted the FIM Gala ceremony last year, and will do so again this year. He also recently hosted the FIM MotoGP Awards in Valencia, as he has done for several seasons, and has been the face of several other corporate productions for MotoGP including MotoGP's Great Moments DVD and the voice of MotoGP’s Official Videogame.
